An auto accident on FM 2818 between two pickup trucks in College Station sent at least five people to the hospital with injuries and killed two people on Saturday evening, police reported.
Officials identified the young woman killed in the head-on collision as 19-year-old Taylor Leonard, a resident of Houston. Leonard was, reportedly, driving the Dodge truck involved in the crash.
Police identified the young man who was killed in the wreck on FM 2818, as 20-year-old Nathan Walker Hardcastle, a resident of Cypress. Hardcastle was an occupant in the Dodge, which had five other occupants. According to authorities Hardcastle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Four other occupants in that pickup truck were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. One other person, who was driving the other pickup truck involved, was also transported to the hospital with injuries.
Police said Leonard was pulling out from a private drive way onto FM 2818 when the Dodge pickup truck was struck on the driver’s side.
An update regarding the conditions of the other occupants, who were injured in the crash, has yet been released. Police are still investigating the scene of the two-vehicle collision.

A Temple, Texas student was transported to Scott & White Hospital in critical condition last week after he was involved in a fatal auto accident with his mother.
Police identified the student as Fabian Vargas, a Senior at Temple High School. Vargas’ mother, identified as 51-year-old Hortencia Peidra, was killed in the fatal collision. Police said 53-year-old Susan Farley was also killed in the Central Texas car accident.
According to a report published by KWTX News, the fatal car wreck occurred on March 8th. Vargas remains in critical condition. Officials at the hospital said Vargas was in a medically induced coma.
KCENTV reported that an account had been established to help the family manage costs related to the auto wreck.

A head-on collision in Austin sent at least three people to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries on Tuesday, officials reported.
According to a report published in The Austin Statesman, police said the Austin car accident occurred at the intersection of FM 2222 and Mesa Drive
As a result of the car wreck in West Austin, one of the vehicles overturned, landing on its roof.
One of the vehicles’ occupants was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with life-threatening injuries caused by the collision.
