An auto accident on FM 2818 between two pickup trucks in College Station sent at least five people to the hospital with injuries and killed two people on Saturday evening, police reported.
Officials identified the young woman killed in the head-on collision as 19-year-old Taylor Leonard, a resident of Houston. Leonard was, reportedly, driving the Dodge truck involved in the crash.
Police identified the young man who was killed in the wreck on FM 2818, as 20-year-old Nathan Walker Hardcastle, a resident of Cypress. Hardcastle was an occupant in the Dodge, which had five other occupants. According to authorities Hardcastle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Four other occupants in that pickup truck were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. One other person, who was driving the other pickup truck involved, was also transported to the hospital with injuries.
Police said Leonard was pulling out from a private drive way onto FM 2818 when the Dodge pickup truck was struck on the driver’s side.
An update regarding the conditions of the other occupants, who were injured in the crash, has yet been released. Police are still investigating the scene of the two-vehicle collision.
